Methodology & standards
About PrimeFinance
An independent research desk building frameworks and calculators from public methodology — reviewed on a fixed schedule, not marketing.
Quantitative methodology
How the numbers are built
Every calculator on this site uses a stated, deterministic formula rather than a black-box model. Where a framework references a benchmark — a savings rate, a reserve target — we label it as a commonly cited planning range rather than a fact specific to any individual.
Deterministic formulas
Every calculator's math is documented in plain language next to the tool.
Explicit assumptions
Return rates, time periods and other inputs are shown, never hidden behind an output.
Client-side computation
Calculations run in your browser — figures you enter are not transmitted anywhere.
Benchmarks, not predictions
Reference ranges are framed as starting points to adapt, not forecasts of your outcome.
Editorial independence
No sponsored placements in the frameworks
PrimeFinance does not accept payment to feature, rank, or favorably describe a specific financial product, institution or provider within its published research. If that ever changes for any part of the site, it will be disclosed clearly on the relevant page.
Content review standards
Our review cycle
-
01
Draft against methodology
New content is written against a documented framework, not ad hoc.
-
02
Formula check
Every calculator's logic is tested against known inputs and outputs before publishing.
-
03
Quarterly review
Published pages are revisited on a quarterly cadence for accuracy and relevance.
-
04
Correction log
Material corrections are tracked and applied promptly once identified.
Transparency & ethics
Principles that govern what we publish
General, not individualized
Content addresses common situations, never a specific person's finances.
No invented authority
We do not claim licenses, registrations or affiliations we don't hold.
Plain language first
Technical terms are defined in context rather than assumed.
